Study Trip 2013

Revolutions in American History

June 9-15, 2013

Freedom Trail In June 2013, up to thirty Houston ISD teachers will participate in an on-site historical seminar in American history as part of the U.S. Department of Education - HISD Texas Teachers Teaching American History Grant.

The selected teachers will participate in the on-site study of "Revolutions in American History" using museums, archives, and historical landmarks as the basis for their historical study.

The goals of this study trip for HISD teachers are to increase the experiential and content based knowledge about this critical topic in American history and to explore ways to transfer this learning into HISD classrooms.

Teacher benefits include transportation, lodging, and food as well as entrance fees and related books and materials. Participants will research the field experiences and work collaboratively in groups to prepare and share materials.

PLEASE NOTE:
In order to be ELIGIBLE TO APPLY to go on the 2013 History Study Trip to Boston, MA, June 9-15, 2013, you must be a participant in the T3AH grant.

The application process is over. The deadline was 12 noon, January 7, 2013.
